This Saturday, November 20th, 2010, is "Sanrio Celebrates Art Day!" Print Releases, Artist Signings, Live T-Shirt Printing, Live Bandana & Tank Printing, Workshops & More! Later that night is the "Kitty in Pink" Retro 80's Prom Party, with Sanrio & BubblePunch!
Here's the schedule of events!
10am - 5pm: Hit + Run Live T-Shirt Printing! Pick from 5 images from artists in the "Sanrio Small Gift Art Show, to make your own one-of-a-kind t-shirt, $25 each shirt, Cash Only.
10am - 5pm: Joel "Krook" Raul Live Screening of bandanas and tank tops of your favorite characters including Hello Kitty, Badtz Maru, Hangyodon, & Tuxedo Sam! Bandanas $15, Tanks $20, Cash Only.
10am: 64 Colors New Prints Released: My Melody "Cookies", 8.5" x 11", Edition of 100, $25 Each.

11:30am: Print Release & Signing of Miss Kika's Limited Edition Print "Candy-Candy Kitty Dreams." Print is 10" x 20", $75, Edition of 100. Miss Kika will be here to sign and take pictures with and personalize the prints for you.
1pm - 2pm: Martin Hsu "Sanrio's 50th Family Vacation," Print, 36" x 24", Edition of 50, $200 Each. Martin Hsu will be here signing his print and to take photos with. This print is super awesome and detailed. It's hard to see all the characters in this photo, but we made the print big so you can see the details in real life.
3pm - 4pm: Peekaboo Monster will be here signing Limited Edition "Sanrio 50th Club" Soap and Posters...His amazing sculptures are available for sale too...the drippy one "glows in the dark."
At 3pm, Peekaboo will give away a free poster with any soap purchase. There are 6 different posters and soaps with Hello Kitty, Pandapple, Kuromi, Badtz Maru, Keroppi, and the Sanrio Club Rules. Here is a pic of one of the posters...so cute! Peekaboo will be signing these too!
Check out this 8" Custom Dunny from Joe Ledbetter,"My Melody Bunny Dunny." This is a one-of-a-kind custom dunny. Available at the art show or by phone (323) 708-5445, $1,000.
For all of you Joe Ledbetter fans, we can't keep up with all the phone calls and emails for his prints. So, we set aside a small amount to sell on our online shop. These will be posted on Friday, Nov 19th, at 9am on japanla.com. They will be on the first page of our shop, under "New". It is first come, first serve. You can only get 1 each per person. Later that evening, Sanrio & Bubble Punch will be presenting the "Kitty in Pink" Retro 80's Prom Party! Saturday, Nov 20th, 8:30pm - 11:30pm!
This is going to be a super fun night! 80's Cover Band! Prizes for Prom King, Prom Queen, Prom Princess, Prom Prince and more! Awesome prizes including: Hello Kitty Bike Cruiser, Electric Scooter, Sewing Machine, and more! Please note, you do not have to dress up to come to prom...You can come hang out in normal clothes too...80's or whatever you want. Tickets are available on brownpapertickets.com, for $15
